RULE 03 OF 13 · PART 1: THE REACTION

# Nobody is coming.

Stop waiting for the check, the call, the promotion or the person who's going to fix it. That's good news.

WHERE YOU ARE · MOVE 2 OF 6: OWN IT

CHAPTER 03NOBODY IS COMING0:00

## Somewhere in your life right now, you're waiting on something.

PLATE · CHAPTER 03NOBODY IS COMING

A promotion that's been coming for two review cycles. A check that will finally let you breathe. A partner who's going to change once things calm down. A market that's going to turn. You might call it patience. Look at what you're doing with the problem while you wait. Nothing. You've handed it to the future and asked it to call you back.

The future charges for storage. Every month you wait, the problem you're not touching adds interest, and the person you're waiting on isn't the one paying it. You are.

Nobody is coming is good news, because the day you stop waiting is the day you start collecting, and you keep everything you build. Chapter 3 separates asking for help from being helpless, deals honestly with problems that aren't your fault, and answers "the system is rigged" and "as soon as things settle down."

THE RULE, AGAIN

## Every problem has a price, and every problem pays.

THE DEBT

THE PAYMENT

Every week you wait for someone to fix it, the problem charges you another week, and the rescue still doesn't come.

The day you stop waiting, you're the one collecting, and you keep everything you build.

NOBODY GETS TO NOT PAY. YOU ONLY GET TO CHOOSE THE COLUMN.

SAY IT OUT LOUD

> Nobody's coming to save me. Good.

DO THIS TODAYRULE 03

Name the thing you're waiting for. A check, a call, a promotion, an apology, a better market. Then write down the date you'll stop waiting for it. Make it this month.

I DID IT. SWITCH THE LINE.
